Data Reporting Specialist

THIS ROLE IS REMOTE, BUT CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STATES: NY/NJ/NC/FL/IL/TX

About the Role: We are excited to invite a highly skilled Data Reporting Specialist to join our team. If you have a knack for transforming raw data into insightful, interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, we want to hear from you! In this role, you'll focus on creating detailed reports on risk-based and security data, including Key Risk Indicator (KRI) escalation path dashboards. You'll also automate data processes and generate crucial business management reports for HR, budget, financials, and IT inventory.

What You'll Do:

• Data Handling: Compile, clean, and validate data from a variety of sources.
• Power BI Reporting: Transform data stored in Excel into meaningful reports in Power BI.
• Dashboard Design: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and KPIs.
• Workflow Automation: Utilize Alteryx to automate data workflows, streamline processes, and optimize ETL tasks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate these into actionable insights and visualizations.
• Ensure Accuracy: Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the analysis process.
• Documentation: Document data sources, methodologies, and assumptions for transparency and reproducibility.
• Stay Current: Keep up with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in data analytics and visualization.

What We're Looking For:

• Power BI Expertise: Proven experience in data reporting with a high proficiency in Power BI for creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Alteryx Skills: Strong expertise in Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and automation is a big plus.
• Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and identify actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-Motivation: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
