The Data Architect plays a pivotal role in transforming data into insights that inform business strategies and improve operational efficiencies. This position works closely with others to gather requirements, design data models, and develop visualizations that help drive decision-making across the organization. Additionally, the Data Architect is responsible for evaluating and redesigning our data warehouse to ensure it meets evolving business needs and performance requirements.
Job Duties:

Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
Design and optimize SQL database to support business reporting and analytics requirements
Evaluate the current data warehouse architecture, identify areas for improvement, and propose redesign strategies to enhance usability and performance
Create dashboard and reports, using Power BI to communicate key metrics
Collaborate with coworkers to understand business needs and translate requirements into technical solutions
Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Answer specific business questions and uncover actionable insights
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in SQL, Power BI, and data analytics to continuously enhance skills and knowledge and apply to business practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field OR equivalent experience
5-7 years of experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
Certifications in SQL or Power BI ideal but not required
Proven experience with SQL programming, including writing complex queries, joins, and data manipulation techniques
Proficiency in Power BI for creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze large datasets
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines
Ability to evaluate and redesign data warehouse architecture to improve scalability, performance, and usability
