Manage eCommerce analytics and testing functions to drive the evolution of a Best in Class sports company. This position is responsible for leveraging analytics to identify business growth opportunities across the eCommerce and Omni-fulfillment experiences, with Testing as a critical function of the role. This individual partner with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders as well as manage a team of analysts to support the scope of work. The manager will mentor and guide analysts to ensure work and deliverables are in-line with analytical best practices and prioritized to business goals.

Analytics & Testing

Synthesize myriad data sources into holistic narratives to address business opportunities and strategic direction, partnering with cross-functional business partners to drive action from analyses. Manage inflow of analytics requests and projects, reprioritizing as needed in alignment with stakeholders. Perform and support detailed ad hoc, short-term and mid-term analyses on large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data to answer business questions and/or help inform strategic direction. Leverage common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, GCP, Excel), and/or vendor platforms (Adobe Analytics) to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions. With new data sets and concepts, establish and define common metrics with goals and benchmarks for application, partnering with technology and reporting teams to make the data accessible across the enterprise. Develop statistically sound test designs and present findings to cross-functional business stakeholders to contribute to mid and long-term strategy and to guide investment decisions.

Business Stakeholder Support

Support ad hoc requests for analytics and ad hoc reporting, as well questions from business leaders about methodology or how to interpret a metric or trendline. Support ad hoc analytics requests stemming from the Executive team in a timely and prioritized manner. Lead formal and informal training sessions with client groups to enable business stakeholders to answer questions via self-service tools such as Intera (internal BI tool powered by Qlik) and PowerBI.

Team Leadership & Development

Manage a team of analysts, placing each teammate in the best position for them individually, and the team as a whole, to maximize value for the team and organization. Manage workload of direct reports, leveraging teammate capacity and holding teammates accountable to deadlines and work standards. Lead the analyst team in prioritizing, framing, and presenting analyses, and educate the team on best practices and analytic patterns. Develop analysts for further growth.

Industry Knowledge & Benchmarking

May serve as the primary vendor relationship manager for analytical toolsets. Benchmark DICK’S against best-in-class analytics organization to identify strengths and opportunities for DICK’S, keeping up-to-date on current trends in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred
  • Economics, Statistics, Liberal Arts or Related Field
  • SQL, R, Python, experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI)
  • Testing and Optimization Tools
  • GCP or Azure Experience
  • 10-15 Years of Experience
  • 3-6 Years of Managerial Experience

Targeted Pay Range: $83,000 - $138,200. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
