Data & Analytics Analyst
- Job description Data and Analytics professionals define strategies, develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of information from one or more sources, and the subsequent delivery of information to audiences in support of key business processes. Data Integration professionals develop deep data integration skills to support client's data and analytics agendas, including skills such as ETL, Informatics, and data migration.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and "clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
At least 6 months experience with Excel creating charts, advanced formulas, and macros
At least 6 months experience analyzing datasets either with SQL for databases or through ingesting and transforming data from flat files for analysis
6 months of hands-on work experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year experience with SQL or equivalent database querying language
1+ year experience with at least one visual analytics tool such as Tableau or Qlikview
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Demonstrated story telling skills in Power point
Attention to detail, and sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Professional Skill Requirements
- This role requires 80% travel flexibility to travel and work onsite with clients (typically Monday - Thursday)
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with senior client executives
