Job Summary:

As a member of the NMG technology analytics team, you are curious and passionate about collaborating with analytics team members and business partners to ensure the quality and reliability of reports, dashboards, and analyses that transform data into insights that inspire action.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Employ analytical skills to test dashboards to ensure accurate calculation of KPIs and metrics as needed for business reviews.
  • Leverage reporting tools to conduct end-to-end testing and QA of analyses and report deliverables, preferably PowerBI, Data Studio, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with analytics team members and business partners to assist in testing and verifying data sets, analytic models, reports, and analyses using analytics technology such as SQL, Python, and Google Data Studio.
  • Apply data visualization principles and skills to verify that insights and decision tools are actionable and accurate.
  • Assist in the development and testing of descriptive, diagnostic, and/or predictive analyses to ensure they meet business requirements and standards.
  • Support proactive projects and ad hoc analyses through rigorous testing and validation processes. Collaborate with team members to manage work items and tasks towards achieving shared goals; monitor performance and quality to identify, suggest, and implement improvements.

  • Collect and document requirements for the reporting system, metrics, and KPIs, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to learn new technical, business, and professional skills related to QA and testing, as well as share knowledge with fellow analysts.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree within analytical course of study (e.g., mathematics, science, engineering, business, accounting, data analytics, data science)
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data exploration and descriptive analytics
  • Experience with PowerBI, Google Cloud Platform, Google Big Query, Google Data Studio, SQL, Python for data science, and/or other technology platforms and applications (e.g., Tableau, Looker, R)
  • Travel for NMG PrimeTime events (twice annually) and upon occasion to Winston-Salem office for team and corporate meetings
  • Candidates will be required to pass a background check screening upon job offer.

Work Environment:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
