Position: Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX. This role involves supporting product analysis, validating large data sets, analyzing market trends, and driving strategic recommendations into execution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau, and experience in business analytics or related fields. • Pay Rate: $50 - 55/hour with optional benefits plans.
• Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday on-site in Plano, TX; Fridays remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support crafting analysis, actions, and messaging for product analysis (SW, TWS, APS, Tab, PC).
• Triangulate and validate large data sets from various data sources to analyze channels, customers, and mobile industry trends for us and competitors.
• Analyze weekly market trends and drive actionable insights, progressing strategic recommendations into real execution.
• Support TAM & Market Share actual/forecast data in the internal system
• Interpret data and analyze results using various techniques, providing ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests and support in identifying and improving inefficient workflow processes.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
• Experience in business analytics, management consulting, product management, marketing, business planning, and strategy development.
• Experience in the mobile/telecom industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to foster strong relationships within and outside the company.
• Agility in solving ambiguous business issues.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to develop tasks and work assignments from vaguely defined objectives.
