Location of Position:

Remote Full-time Manager but must be located in Michigan, Ohio or Kentucky. Travel may be required as necessary to AGC sites. Travel will be less than 10% for this position.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Manager to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organization's cybersecurity infrastructure, implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.


Cybersecurity Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies and procedures to safeguard the company's systems, networks and data
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software
  • Monitor security logs and alerts for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into software development lifecycle and infrastructure deployment processes
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies to proactively mitigate risks
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security-related matters, including incident response, data protection and access control
  • Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present reports on cybersecurity metrics, incidents and compliance status to senior management and stakeholders


Cybersecurity Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred
  • 5+ years in a technical cybersecurity role, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions in complex environments
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies and best practices, including network security, encryption, authentication and access control
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection and vulnerability management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze security incidents, assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is a plus
