Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting our company's systems and networks from cybersecurity threats. You will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring for incidents, and responding to security breaches to safeguard our organization's data and infrastructure.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Security Implementation and Monitoring:
    • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and attacks.
    • Monitor security systems for anomalies and potential security breaches, investigating alerts and incidents as they arise.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Incident Response and Mitigation:
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to quickly respond to and mitigate security incidents.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain security breaches and minimize impact on operations.
    • Perform forensic analysis and root cause analysis to determine the cause and extent of security incidents.
  • Security Architecture and Engineering:
    • Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
    • Configure and manage security tools and technologies to ensure effective protection and detection capabilities.
    • Conduct security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for enhancing security posture.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to cybersecurity.
    • Assess and manage cybersecurity risks, conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal audit teams and external auditors to provide evidence of compliance and security controls.
  • Security Awareness and Training:
    • Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among employees through training programs and educational initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to teams on security-related matters, including secure coding practices and data protection.
  • Research and Development:
    • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
    • Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance security defenses.
    • Contribute to cybersecurity research, white papers, and knowledge sharing within the organization and industry.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Proven experience (X+ years) as a Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Analyst, or similar role, with a strong background in cybersecurity operations and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability management).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with incident response procedures, including handling and mitigating security incidents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze security incidents and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
