Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in Louisville, KY. Summary: The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents to protect the organization's IT systems and data. This role involves identifying potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, and implementing measures to mitigate them. The Security Analyst works closely with other IT and security professionals to maintain a secure environment. Key Responsibilities:

The Security Analyst works closely with other IT and security professionals to maintain a secure environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor security systems, networks, and applications for security breaches and incidents
- Analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
- Maintain and update security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards
- Stay current with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices
- As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will collaborate with IT and Security teams to enhance the organization's security posture
- Provide support for security-related audits and compliance initiatives
- Generate reports on security incidents, threat trends, and security posture
- Educate and train staff on security awareness and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in information security or a related field
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
