JOB SUMMARY:

Provides a clean, sanitary and orderly environment for the students, visitors, program participants and employees of Tall Pines STEM Academy. The housekeeper will be involved in the daily cleaning of site facilities, as well as responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly checklist.

JOB DUTIES:

55% - Non-Essential - Custodial

Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, and stairways. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums all areas as needed. Collect trash throughout the facility. Handles various cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.

25% - Essential - Laundry

Wash all linens, sheets, towels etc. Keep buildings in a state of readiness for students and meetings. Ensure classrooms are in order, bathrooms are cleaned and stocked, cafeteria area is clean and sanitized after use, and common areas are cleaned.

20% - Essential - Inventory

Replenish supplies, i.e. paper-towels, toilet paper as needed in all buildings. Keep inventory and stock of all cleaning products on hand. All other duties as assigned by the Principal.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent - Experience in custodial/housekeeping directly related to the area of employment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

Budgetary Responsibilities

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand for prolonged period

Walk or move about

Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc

Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder)

Move, transport, raise or lower

Extends hands or arms in any direction

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exposure to heat or cold

Exposure to dust/fumes

Chemical hazards

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 40

Compensation Information

Hourly: $12.50

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Essential Personnel Level

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
