As Custodial Zone Coordinator, you will plan, assign, and supervise the work and training of custodial workers engaged in cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in one of the custodial zones. You will also be responsible to uphold the University Mission Statement by training and developing leadership skills within your assigned crew chiefs and student workers.
This is a 12-month Staff GA position.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise and instruct employees in proper custodial and safety methods
Provide a safe work environment through the training of employees and inspection of equipment
Reassign and adjust crews to respond to special needs or tasks
Prepare or review written disciplinary actions, memos, and employee performance appraisals
Inspect all areas within their assigne zone for cleanliness and unusual activity
Respond to requests in a timely manner
Act as a liaison between the building representatives and the Custodial department
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease complaints, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Enrolled for post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University, graduate studies preferred
Knowledge of hazards and safety methods related to custodial operations
Good communication skills, both written and oral, in one-on-one or group settings or by telephone
Ability to work cooperatively with management
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Good writing skills
Ability to keep time and attendance records preferred
Ability to perform physical inventory of equipment and supplies preferred
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled for post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University
