  1. Artist Relations:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national artists.
  • Coordinate with artists for the loan or donation of works, contracts, and installation requirements.
  • Procure art for TAG’s annual fundraising Gala, Pop Up home show and sale, and other artist-centric events.
  • Provide guidance and support to artists throughout the exhibition process.
  1. Community Engagement:
  • Develop programs, lectures, and events to engage the community and enhance the visitor experience.
  • Collaborate with educational and community groups to promote art appreciation and participation.
  • Act as a spokesperson for TAG at public events, fostering connections within the art community and beyond.
  1. Exhibit Installation:
  • Oversee all aspects of exhibit installation, including layout design, construction, lighting, and signage.
  • Ensure exhibits are installed safely and according to planned schedules and budgets.
  • Manage the maintenance and care of displayed works throughout the exhibition duration.
  1. Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare and manage exhibition budgets, including procurement of materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of exhibitions, artist agreements, and loans.
  • Collaborate with marketing and development teams to promote exhibitions and programs.
  • Assist with fundraising and grant research and grantwriting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Fine Arts, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in curatorial practice or exhibit planning, preferably in a gallery or museum setting.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and implement successful art exhibitions.
