Provide leadership and coordination to provide an aligned and articulated instructional assessment, accountability, and data analysis program specific to CTE and CCMR for the district.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree
Valid Texas career and technical education certificate with required license, endorsements, and training
for subject and level assigned
Demonstrated competency in the career and technical education subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of state assessment
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of assessments and state/federal accountability

Major Responsibilities And Duties
Fiscal/Facilities Management
- Organizes, supervises, and manages the financial affairs of programs.
- Completes and submits relevant compliance reports.
- Follows appropriate administrative guidelines and requisitioning and purchasing procedures.
- Is familiar with the budgetary needs and organizes and prepares an annual budget that incorporates the identified needs.
- Manages all school facilities and resources related to CTE program to ensure access to appropriate, clean, orderly, and safe buildings and materials.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
- Lead the CTE advisory committee in order to build a program that meets the needs of the community.
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
- Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
- Participates in local, state, and national professional organizations.
- Ensures systems are in place to provide district and campus leadership with disaggregated and timely data reports aligned to district goals and targets.
- Provides training and support to district and campus leadership regarding State and Federal accountability.
- Organizes and directs in-service training programs for both campus and district personnel.
- Work cooperatively with directors and campus principals in developing and supervising the procedures for administering local and state assessments.
- Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies.
- Works with sites to coordinate district-wide testing programs, including, but not limited to state testing, college entrance testing, advanced placement testing, and foreign exchange testing.
- Works with campus staff to coordinate and support CCMR initiatives.
- Collects and reports pertinent data as needed.
- Assists in the collection and reporting of data related to federal and state and district accountability targets.
- Trains employees at district sites in test administration as needed including ability to access computer testing information and relevant reporting.
- Maintains data and generates related reports for state and federal accountability purposes.
- Works with sites to ensure proper identification and integrity of data of student populations for the purpose of test pre-identification and reporting (ELL, economically disadvantaged, GATE, Title I, foster youth, special education, etc.)
- Provides site and district staff with current and historical federal, state and local accountability data.
- Maintains the integrity of the testing process.
- Receives, inventories, and distributes materials to site staff and returns materials to appropriate agencies.
- Coordinates and provides support for inputting all testing information into the SIS.
- Collects and reports pertinent data as needed.
- Must be able to meet and interact with employees and parents/guardians in routine situations, which require tact, discretion, and courtesy.
