Job Description:
NYC Boat Cruises Inc. is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Cruise Coordinator to join our team. The Cruise Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of various cruise events, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of cruise events, including private charters, sightseeing tours, dinner cruises, and special events.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop detailed event itineraries and ensure all logistical arrangements are in place.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to finalize event details.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers, including caterers, entertainers, and transportation companies.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- On-Site Management:
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and on schedule.
- Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear instructions and support as needed.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues that arise during the event.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of event details, budgets, and client communications.
- Prepare event reports and conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
