Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team in Seattle, WA.Job Overview:The Criminal Defense Attorney will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights, attending pretrial hearings, managing court appearances, drafting motions, and providing legal analysis to determine case strategies.Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents about their caseAttend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about the best strategiesManage court appearances, and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform legal researchAnalyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedentsManage the workload of cases effectivelyProvide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefitsAccrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or for arguments against the prosecution's chargesPrepare clients for depositions; determine essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and important experts that support client's positionsRequirements:2-5 years of Criminal Defense ExperienceExperience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levelsA team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associatesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredInterpersonal skills of the highest caliberEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Washington State Bar Association or eligibility for reciprocityBenefits:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceExcellent compensation packagePaid parkingPaid time offAnd more.
