Credit Investment Analyst

Job description

· Our client is an investment firm with over $3B AUM. They seek to hire an Investment Analyst to cover the entire credit spectrum across a variety of different types of investments, co-investments, direct investments, and fund investments.

Responsibilities

· Working with the team to source and diligence prospective investments within the Credit space, including meetings with fund managers and industry participants, thematic strategy research, quantitative analysis, and sourcing and underwriting public and private direct investments and co-investments across a wide range of asset classes.

· Continuous evaluation of existing portfolio exposures (across fund investments/partnerships, direct investments, and co-investments), including tracking key positions, themes, and exposures within portfolios, regular conversations with managers and industry participants, and challenging/stress-testing investment theses.

· Performing deep dive due diligence on companies and/or assets, including creating detailed financial models and scenario analyses, researching industries and themes, and analyzing legal documents.

· Structuring of investments and funds/partnerships, including investment objectives/parameters, covenants/legal structures, and tax structures.

· Creating materials for investment committees, regular portfolio discussions, and updates for senior management and external investors.

· Developing tools to process and analyze large data sets for individual investment underwriting as well as broader portfolio construction analyses

Qualifications

· 2-3 years of total work experience within an investment bank or investment firm with strong credit knowledge

· Experience using Bloomberg beneficial

· Strong quantitative skills, modeling with proficiency with Excel

· Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution

· Demonstrated professional and academic achievement
