Credit & Collections Manager

About the Role:

The Credit & Collections Manager is responsible for managing Madison Logic’s end-to-end collection process. In this hands-on position you will design and implement efficient processes to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables while maintaining positive client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practices for collections procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Evaluate new customers' creditworthiness by approving or rejecting credit
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and effectively implement processes to reduce them
  • Track and report on collection of client invoices
  • Manage billing and invoice revision process
  • Supervise cash application and reconcile depository bank accounts
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve billing and customer credit issues in a timely fashion
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 3, sharing best practices and providing guidance
  • Train new sales employees
  • Liaise with legal and third-party collection agency
  • Work closely with CFO, sales team, and other internal stakeholders on receivables that require special handling
  • Manage the payments and refunds process
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Monitor Madison Logic Contract mailbox
  • Streamline the creation, execution and review of Insertion Orders
  • Liaise with legal team on sales contract review and approval
  • Assure compliance with company policies

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years in a leadership role (at least 1 direct report)
  • Minimum 7 years in Collections
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing)
  • Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g. FDCPA)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc…)
  • Comfortable working with deadlines
  • Patience and ability to manage stress
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Skilled in negotiation & problem-solving

$100,000 - $110,000 a year

Expected Compensation: (Dependent upon Experience & Location)

Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

Additional Incentive Compensation (Bonus): $5,000
