Creative Services Videographer/Editor

Job Description

WXII 12, the Hearst-owned, NBC affiliate in Winston-Salem/Greensboro NC, seeks a highly motivated, organized, and creative person to fill our full time Creative Services Videographer/Editor position. The successful candidate will possess superior shooting, lighting, and editing ability. But a critical element will be the candidate's passion for making a difference. Local Broadcasting is more than what you see on television. We need a person who wants to make impactful television, who dreams up unique shots, who enthusiastically generates great ideas to advance the look of our brand and support our community, all the while possessing the know-how and skill to get it done. We seek a person who pushes at the edges but appreciates collaboration with Managers and peers to execute the creative vision.

Responsibilities

• Shooting & lighting station marketing content, in field or in studio
• Confident non-linear editor with excellent design aesthetic
• Strong motion/title design skills, preferably using Adobe After Effects
• Ability to troubleshoot/solve technical issues quickly, independently and under pressure.
• Superior attention to detail, time management, organizational and media management skills
• Passion for marketing news, digital content and producing videos that connect to audiences emotionally.
  
  

Qualifications

• Applicant must be an experienced videographer.
• Knowledge of Canon Cinema C300 and 7D Cameras
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent non-linear editing software
• Knowledge of still photographing a plus
• Remote drone pilot license a plus
• Experience working with professional talent a plus
• Required to lift and move production equipment weighing up to and occasionally exceeding 50 lbs.
• Make hands-on contributions to in-studio & remote productions and edit various department projects.
• Equivalent military experience will be considered
