Creative Services Intern

About the Role. 

Narrative seeks a paid creative intern in their Washington, DC offices, located at 1400 L Street NW. Interns will join the creative services team, having the opportunity to directly contribute to the production of brand collateral, infographics, social media assets, presentations, video projects, and paid media / digital marketing campaigns.  

 

Interns at Narrative are genuinely seen as value adds in our approach to telling complex stories informed by a variety of perspectives, interests, and experiences. Diversity of thought and proposing innovative solutions are immediate areas where interns are asked to contribute and apply their learning from the classroom. 

 

About the Ideal Candidate. 

This internship experience will be highly tailored to match the skill sets and preferred growth areas identified by the candidate. Students from all educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to those working towards a degree in graphic design, marketing, or video production. 

 

Applicants with design experience are requested to submit a creative portfolio and should have a working knowledge of design platforms (Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign). Candidates interested in video should be proficient with editing software (Adobe Premiere/After Effects) and submit a reel with their application. Students with experience and interest in both may submit a comprehensive portfolio of their work.  

 

Additionally, this team member will be organized, resourceful, an effective communicator, and a creative problem solver. Previous experience in politics and public affairs is not required, but candidates should be engaged with current events and have a passion for translating complex ideas into accessible and engaging media.
