Position Summary

We’re seeking a full-time Creative Direction Manager for our Los Angeles-based corporate office.

A Creative Direction Manager at SHEIN is responsible for all creative and operations for both product and editorial (look book) photography. Within this role, you will wear many hats such as Creative Director, Project Manager and Team Lead. Your primary responsibility is to bring a brand’s story to life through engaging visuals, ensuring that the final product resonates with the target audience and align with the overall strategy. You will create actionable plans and manage and delegate a team to ensure photoshoots run smoothly.

The key to success as a Creative Direction Manager at SHEIN is to have a clear and compelling vision for each photoshoot, based on the brand’s brief, the target audience, the market trends, and the brand identity. You will present and pitch the creative to the Head of Merchandising for approval and then you will translate this vision into a creative strategy and a brief for their team, outlining the objectives, requirements, expectations, and guidelines for the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Create mood boards and pitch creative concepts that align with the brand’s aesthetic
• Own the creative for product and look book photography, both in studio and on location
• Art direct photoshoots ensuring photography and styling align with brand’s style guide
• Partner with Retouching to select and crop images
• Monitor site analytics to drive strategy for future photoshoots
• Manage a team ensuring photoshoots are executed according to standards (tight deadlines, budgets, creative vision)
• Work cross-functionally with design/buying, photography, videography, styling, set design and photo retouching and coordinate photoshoots
• Oversee project deadlines and delegate/check-in accordingly
• Select models, hair and makeup for each shoot
• Identify samples and prepare samples (as needed)
• Effectively address and resolve issues and road blocks to ensure smooth production.

Job Requirements

• 4-5+ years of experience in a creative leadership position within photography
• 1-2+ years of people leader experience
• Deadline-driven with experience with project management
• Knowledgeable about current and upcoming trends with a high degree of imagination and curiosity
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Pay

$88,600.00 min. - $143,200.00 max annually. Bonus & RSU offered.
