The ideal candidate will manage website content, craft newsletters for Riot Fest Presents upcoming shows and Riot Fest, the renowned 3-day music festival in Chicago, create advertising copy, and write blog posts to promote Riot Fest. The copywriter’s core function is to craft compelling and engaging content in the distinctive Riot Fest brand voice as part of the creative team producing the music festival and over 150 club shows annually throughout Chicago and Milwaukee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write website content, including landing pages, posts, and events
Assist with the management of playlists, and organization of WordPress website and editorial content
Create engaging advertising copy for print and digital media to display on Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter
Draft and compile newsletter subject lines and copy, ensuring that they are both visually appealing and contain relevant information to help promote ticket sales
Conduct research to understand Riot Fest's target audience and create content that speaks to their interests in collaboration with the Riot Fest creative department
Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate best practices into Riot Fest's content strategy
