A TYPICAL DAY As a Counselor, you engage in a multifaceted role, offering vital clinical services to a diverse outpatient population comprising adults, adolescents, and children dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring health issues. Your responsibilities encompass a spectrum of interventions, from initial assessments and intake processes to personalized treatment planning and therapeutic interventions like individual, group, and play therapy sessions. Meticulous documentation ensuring compliance with contractual, licensing, and organizational standards is paramount. Your commitment to meeting productivity benchmarks set by VBHCS drives the efficacy of your service delivery. Your role extends beyond individual therapy sessions, encompassing discharge planning, family system involvement, and seamless coordination with external stakeholders such as courts, schools, and state agencies to facilitate holistic treatment approaches. By serving as a liaison and consultant to various service providers and referral sources, you play a pivotal role in orchestrating comprehensive care strategies that empower clients and foster sustainable recovery journeys!
