The Cost Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and managing the cost structure of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, financial analysis, and sourcing new vendors.


This is a contract position.


Key Responsibilities:


Cost Estimation and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost models for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare cost estimates for new projects, products, and process changes.


Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to develop and manage budgets.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide cost forecasts and financial projections to support strategic decision-making.


Process Improvement:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and reduce costs.


Cost Reporting:

  • Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor supplier performance and costs to ensure competitive pricing.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering within the manufacturing or semiconductor industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis principles.
  • Proficiency in cost modeling software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.


$40-$53hr rate
