Corporate Travel Manager
Travel Manager (US)
For the expansion of our US Finance team, Planet Pharma's client is looking for a hands-on Travel Manager who has a strong desire to assume ownership for his/her role to join our US Finance team. Reporting to Director of Accounting, this individual will manage all things Travel and Concur to ensure policies are followed, provide timely feedback, lead and/or participate in special projects, and take on additional responsibility as demand for services increase. The ideal candidate should have solid project management skills for corporate travel program, excellent organization skills, experience working with internal control policies and procedures to ensure SOX compliance.
Roles And Responsibilities
Working with Finance, Legal, Training, HR, global admins, external vendors
Liaise with legal to manage AON insurance program, education, messaging, emergency contact
Liaise with TLC/Travel Plus
Contracting TLC/Travel Plus services
Monthly meetings to review spend, services, issues
Travel program review, implementation, management
Unused tickets reclaiming funds
Monthly meetings with travel vendors such as National car rentals, SW Airlines
Yearly contract renewal negotiation and execution (mostly hotels)
T&E policy writing, adherence, auditing and education
Training materials and training itself
Concur functionality and issues
New employee profile create
Visa process facilitation
Additional responsibilities may be assigned, as required, by management.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
• College degree required
• 5 years working in a Corporate Travel management role
• Leadership experience in a travel role required
• Strong international skills
• Corporate Onsite Travel Office background
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing and available to work extended hours as needed
• Ability to work independently and meet set deadlines
