Summary of Position:

Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Cultural Operations, this position oversees all systems, processes and documentation related to employee (HCP and corporate) travel. Primarily responsible for day-to-day travel management activities, the role ensures the efficient and cost-effective delivery of travel services across the company. The Travel Manager will interact with individuals at all organizational levels and with suppliers. This role demands a customer service-oriented approach and proficiency in sourcing, negotiating, reviewing, and administering contracts, along with the capability to continuously improve sourcing processes company-wide.

What you will do:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Travel Team which includes but is not limited to; hiring and training department staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; holding effective one-on-one and team meetings; appraising performance, providing feedback, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Assist with day-to-day management of our vendors (Hotels, Airlines, Rail, and Ground Transportation) and identify opportunities to enhance services received
• Resolve any problems with travel or accommodation and escalate as needed.
• Manage the team for international and domestic travel bookings for all NCLEX travel, ATP, transition trips, in coordination with the corresponding leadership personnel.
• Manage the team to handle travel bookings for all corporate travel and communicate with stakeholders.
• Schedule and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews of service providers.
• Maintain records of travel bookings and expenses.
• Prepare regular reports on travel activities and expenditure.
• Analyze travel data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Report metrics and escalate issues weekly to the Sr. Director, Cultural Operations.

What you will need:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree - preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Travel Manager or similar role.
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience with sourcing, negotiating or procurement role with a preference to a travel Industry or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct supervision
• Strong knowledge of travel management processes and best practices.
• Ability to travel as needed.
