Join a dynamic team supporting a federally funded educational nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing Head Start Programs across the US. We're seeking a passionate Temp-to-Hire Travel Agent to assist our local and remote staff and consultants with travel arrangements. This role, reporting to the Operations Manager, offers remote work flexibility with occasional in-office team meetings in Denver, CO. All equipment will be provided.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)
Responsibilities
Research and evaluate travel options using various sources to ensure efficient and cost-effective travel plans.
Collaborate with travelers to finalize itineraries, ensuring all approvals are obtained.
Utilize computerized reservation systems to book flights, hotels, and car rentals, and issue detailed itineraries.
Act as a reliable resource for travelers, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain adherence to company travel policies and communicate them effectively to travelers.
Coordinate group travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, and shared transportation.
Secure meeting spaces and negotiate contracts for business events, ensuring all logistical needs are met.
Generate and analyze travel reports for government contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with airline and industry standards throughout the booking process.
Collaborate within the Operations Team to support organizational priorities.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar travel coordination role.
Familiarity with Sabre GDS System preferred.
Experience with international travel bookings is advantageous.
High school diploma required; additional education is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of travel industry practices and trends.
Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work effectively in a team.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
