Corporate Soft Skill Instructor

Join Bergen Community College's Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development as a Soft Skills Instructor. The ideal candidate will specialize in teaching Project Management, Leadership, and other Professional Development courses. Classes are typically virtual, but this part-time role also requires the instructor to be comfortable teaching at various corporate locations in Bergen County during the day.

Position Summary

• Availability during the workday is essential, as we conduct classes during these time frames.
• Develop and deliver engaging courses on Project Management, Time Management, Leadership, and other Professional Development topics tailored to corporate environments.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and interaction.
• Provide practical tools, techniques, and strategies that professionals can apply in their workplace.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in soft skills training and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with corporate clients to understand their specific training needs and customize courses accordingly.
• Assist with the development and updating of course materials and resources.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
  
  

Special Skills And Qualifications

Education - Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field.

Experience - Proven experience in teaching soft skills courses in either an academic setting or corporate trainer.

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
• Comfortable with traveling to and teaching at various corporate locations during the day.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
  
  

This position pays between $45 and $50 an hour, the offer will be made based on candidate experience.
