This position is working onsite 5 days a week
Food and beverage wholesale companyis seeking a Corporate Inventory Control Clerk in College Point, NY.
Position Summary:
Works closely with inventory Controllers to ensure efficient operation of the department. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of receiving related inbound transactions through Cross docks, and Distribution Centers
Essential Functions:
Communicates efficiently and concisely over the phone, in person and through e-mail to coordinate overages, shortages between bill of ladings and receipts
Accurately inputs information into the computer concerning incoming merchandise in a timely manner
Checks and records the quantity of the merchandise for conformity to purchase orders and specifications. As well as correcting if necessary
Records and reports shortages and discrepancies
Ensures friendly, efficient and professional service
Other Responsibilities:
Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned. Including but not limited to, any reporting requested/assigned weekly
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Minimum 1 year similar experience
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors and buyers
Computer Literate and must be very detail oriented
Effective oral and written communication skills
Commitment to company values and strong service orientation
Work Environment:
For the most part the ambient temperature will be moderate
The work is performed sitting at a desk
Pace is job-set, meaning the pace varies depending on the receiving activities
