Job Description

As a Corporate Finance Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that optimize corporate performance, maximize shareholder value, and support long-term growth objectives. You will collaborate closely with executive management, finance teams, and business units to assess financial opportunities, identify strategic initiatives, and drive financial planning and analysis. Your role involves analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and providing strategic insights to guide decision-making and enhance the company's competitive position in the market.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy Development:
    • Lead the development and implementation of corporate financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Conduct financial analysis, scenario modeling, and feasibility studies to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and capital allocation decisions.
    • Formulate recommendations on capital structure, financing options, and strategic partnerships to optimize financial resources and support growth strategies.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Prepare financial forecasts, budgeting, and long-term financial planning to support operational decision-making and resource allocation.
    • Monitor key financial metrics, performance indicators, and industry benchmarks to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and profitability metrics to provide insights into financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Corporate Development:
    • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships to enhance business portfolio and market position.
    • Conduct due diligence, financial valuation, and synergy analysis to assess deal feasibility and integration strategies.
    • Support negotiation, deal structuring, and execution of M&A transactions in collaboration with legal, tax, and regulatory teams.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Assess financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
    • Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial integrity and maintain transparency in financial operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    • Collaborate with executive management, board of directors, and external stakeholders to communicate financial strategies, performance updates, and strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare executive-level presentations, financial reports, and strategic plans for board meetings, investor presentations, and shareholder communications.
    • Build and maintain relationships with financial advisors, investment bankers, and industry analysts to enhance market visibility and investor relations.
Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA designation preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Corporate Finance Strategist, Financial Analyst, or Management Consultant specializing in corporate finance and strategy.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software).
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and formulate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey financial concepts and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance practices, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
