When it comes to event planning, experience matters a great deal. As an award-winning event management company with more than 20 years of experience, our client has designed a range of events for every kind of organization, both large and small, both in-person and online.


They are seeking an innovative, experienced, and self-driven Event Manager to join their team. This role will manage their portfolio of proprietary events leading the event strategy, partnership development, audience acquisition, sales/marketing, and tactical implementation. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Event Manager will collaborate with other members of the leadership team to execute key initiatives, grow the portfolio of events, and achieve organizational objectives. At least 25% of travel will be required.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage long and short-term strategic plans for the events.
  • Collaborate with the CFO, marketing, and sales teams to drive sales/financial goals that generate revenue and growth.
  • Arrange and attend weekly sales meetings.
  • Deliver regular reporting on event KPIs, customer satisfaction, and growth to the leadership team.
  • Engage with the marketing team to curate content and develop targeted marketing programs – digital and partnership – to drive audience awareness and acquisition.
  • Identify strategic partnerships that align with brand ethos and create new lines of business to extend brand reach and opportunities.
  • Participate in public outreach and speaking engagements as directed.
  • Provide support in the hiring and management of staff for event operations.
  • Execute event operations and logistics.
  • Attend events and industry shows for business and professional development as appropriate.


What You’ve Done

  • Proven track record of success growing an event portfolio, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in the strategic aspect of event management related to selling and marketing an event and to the appropriate audience.
  • Experience in relationship management and working with partners and event sponsors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and event operational management.
  • Exceptional leadership, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting/forecasting.
  • Success in building and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

*This is a fully remote role other than traveling for events and meetings.
