Experian’s Business Information Solutions unit provides data, solutions, and insights about small businesses to help organizations make decisions about those businesses, from lending and credit risk to preventing fraud. Strategic Alliances focuses on Experian’s key commercial partnerships across business units.

Job Description
Experian’s Business Information Solutions unit provides data, solutions, and insights about small businesses to help organizations make decisions about those businesses, from lending and credit risk to preventing fraud. Strategic Alliances focuses on Experian’s key commercial partnerships across business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide transactional, corporate, regulatory and other legal support for the day-to-day operations of Experian North America’s Business Information Solutions business area and Strategic Alliance functions, with the opportunity to expand to support other businesses and functions as necessary.
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Advising in risk assessment and regulatory reviews for new products
- Providing advice on compliance with laws, including consumer protection and data privacy laws
- Demonstrate an ability to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant legal experience in a large law firm and/or in-house setting.
- Experience in complex transactional matters
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- The highest standards for thoroughness and diligence in handling legal matters
- Experience in handling privacy matters for the financial services industry or other highly regulated industries
- Ability to work with little supervision, be an active member of a congenial legal team, and work well with non-legal professionals
- Ability to understand complex business issues, develop practical, problem-solving strategies and effectively communicate in a positive manner
- Excellent academic credentials
- License to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
- Regulatory experience in financial services (e.g. FCRA, GLBA)
- Hybrid role based in Costa Mesa, California preferred
