Corporate Controller - Strong Advancement Opportunity

Megastar Advisors is seeking a dedicated and seasoned individual to step into the role of Corporate Controller. This unique opportunity involves close collaboration with our retiring Controller, providing valuable insights into the financial oversight of our organization. What You'll Do:

· Manage Financial Operations: Oversee and manage the financial operations of seven entities within our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

· Commission Calculations: Calculate and reconcile insurance commissions, agent commissions, splits, and Internal Sales Commissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

· Advanced Reporting and Analysis: Generate advanced reports using Excel and analyze large datasets to provide valuable insights into financial performance and trends.

· Month-end and Year-end Close: Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, providing guidance and support as needed.

· Internal Controls: Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Taxes: Provide support for tax filings, working closely with external tax advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Special Projects: Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed, leveraging your financial expertise to drive improvements and efficiencies across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

· 5 years of experience as a controller, senior accountant, or equivalent role, with a proven track record of success in managing financial operations.

· CPA/CMA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, create advanced models, and develop macros to automate tasks.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize data effectively, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

· Experience with other data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in all financial processes.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
