What we are looking for:

A strategic Corporate Accounting and Finance expert with deep technical expertise, operational skills, and a proven record of successfully leading and scaling accounting functions. Thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you are able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and effectively navigate competing priorities. You find innovative solutions to complex problems. Your exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to influence and build consensus, achieving desired outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity at fast-growing newly public company. This role will to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage, lead and add consistent, valuable thought leadership regarding financial processes. Understand, evaluate and improve the design, implementation, and execution of scalable and effective systems and processes.
  • Partner closely with various operational functions, ensuring that business needs are met while ensuring efficiency and accuracy of accounting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Leverage experience and knowledge to assist with the design, implementation, and execution of scalable, efficient, and US GAAP-compliant processes and related systems. Help lead, manage, and drive system implementations.
  • Manage all aspects of the month-end close process as it pertains to SEC reporting, revenue recognition, tax accounting matters, stock-based compensation, lease accounting, and other one-off accounting topics, and be critical liaison for external audit firm.
  • Work closely with the FP&A team and other groups in providing key information and metrics for inclusion in public earnings releases and investor calls.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and make recommendations to improve financial operations to drive best practices. Working with CFO, this role will be integral in developing initial framework for compliance with SOX as well as other financial pronouncements/disclosures.
  • Act as a key team leader to foster growth and innovation mindset and continuously work to build, lead and mentor a strong team in an ever-changing environment.
  • Anticipate changes required in order to continue to support the business with efficient and scalable processes.
  • As a key operational finance leader in the accounting group, proactively participate in the overall leadership/management of the accounting and finance department.
  • This is a high-visibility position and the position will evolve and expand as the company continues to grow and change. This position will provide additional responsibilities and opportunities for the right candidate.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • BS or equivalent in accounting or finance
  • Active CPA license
  • Public Company SEC reporting experience
  • Technical Accounting experience (drafting of memos and guidance research)
  • A mix of Big 4 and industry experience managing global consolidations and financial systems function at complex and multi-national US listed publicly-traded companies
  • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (Workiva and Xero)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in implementing various analytical techniques
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization and technology skills

Compensation: $175-185k (US Range) + Equity
