Position Summary:
The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of Climatec technical accounting including regulatory and reporting, audit management, as well as development of internal controls policies and procedures.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage Payroll team and Corporate Accounting Team
Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial resources.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Assist the Director of Accounting in monitoring budget variances and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
Maintain professional and technical skills to ensure accounting practices, procedures, and internal control over financial reporting are compliant with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Assist with communications and data submissions to external auditors, internal and external compliance review teams.
Ensure all Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Supporting Schedules are completed accurately and timely.
Manage Treasury Functions, including cash forecasting.
Complete lease accounting schedules.
Review and post Journal entries.
Prepare Corporate tax schedules in conjunction with corporate tax.
Identify opportunities to improve current financial and business reporting, processes, and procedures with consideration of growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preferred: CPA certification or MBA degree.
10+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
Proficiency with Windows applications primarily Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Experience with Floqast and Coins OA.
In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.
Ability to multitask and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Capability to work under pressure and meet simultaneous deadlines.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
