Corporate Controller


$150-175k plus 20% bonus

Bell & Associates has been engaged to find our client their next Corporate Controller. The Corporate Controller is responsible for all financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit functions for a private equity backed, international manufacturer. Reporting to the CFO, this position is the key liaison between corporate staff, the CEO, plant controllers and plant General Managers to administer all financial aspects of the business.


Responsibilities:

Perform monthly consolidation of six US, two international business units and corporate financial results

  • Prepare financial statements and monthly management reporting package including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and variance analysis on key performance indicators
  • Advise plant controllers on accounting issues, establishing and enforcing common policies and procedures across the organization
  • Drive all business units through the close process, ensuring high levels of communication and coordination throughout.
  • Conduct quarterly balance sheet reconciliation reviews with each plant advising on best practices and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reconciliation process.
  • Prepare or oversee preparation of 13 week cash forecast for company (consolidating inputs from business units and managing corporate level inputs); managing LIBOR interest rate locks on debt; monitoring debt repayments and borrowings online of credit
  • Participate in annual budget and quarterly forecasts including management of corporate costs and allocations.
  • Serve as lead contact with external auditors, ensuring corporate audit is complete and all plants are completing PBC items on time; communicates audit report and any findings with executive team
  • Serve as lead contact for with external tax advisors in preparation of annual tax returns; prepares analysis of corporate expenses, consolidated results and ensuring that all PBC requests are completed in a timely manner by all plants. Ensure compliance to both domestic and international tax requirements.
  • Coordinate approval and execution of capital expenditures across company to include Capital Request Approvals, tracking, and ensuring inclusion in cash forecast
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and completes special projects as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to enable decisions by CEO and CFO
  • Protect company by keeping financial information and plans confidential
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing timely and accurate results with a high level of integrity and adherence to Company policies and regulatory/legal requirements
  • Occasionally drive a motor vehicle; valid Driver's license and evidence of insurability must be maintained
  • Regular attendance onsite at downtown Tulsa, OK is required


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar is required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience demonstrating progression of responsibilities is required
  • Prior experience in a corporate controller role in a manufacturing company is required
  • CPA required
  • Knowledge and experience of US GAAP application to a manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel (advanced functions)
  • Ability to learn Financial Software quickly, ERP experience beneficial
  • Strong analytical, supervisory and business partnering skills are essential
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across the business and present information to employees and executives.


Travel

Approximately 20% to include occasional regional travel by ground transportation and domestic air travel and occasional overnight stays.
