The Conde Nast Consumer Revenue Creative team is seeking a creative and strategic digital marketing copywriter responsible for crafting on-brand, direct response and performance-driven content for all our subscription and commerce marketing assets including email, paid social, site ads, print, and order pages.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Support in developing new copy approaches for our subscriptions, membership, commerce, and continuity (box continuity business - i.e. Allure Beauty Box and GQ Box)

  • Comfortable switching gears between left-brain and right-brain. You’re able to apply your creativity to bring to life business and product objectives.
  • As delighted by a brand campaign as you are a direct response ad and know how to craft great copy for each.
  • A multitasker to the max. When asked to juggle multiple projects at once, you don't get easily overwhelmed. You love prioritization. You’re not afraid to ask for help.
  • Efficient. You prefer using two words over four. You appreciate clear deadlines. When given edits, you act fast (and carefully).
  • Able to articulate the core value proposition and reasons to subscribe to our broad range of brands under the Condé Nast umbrella.
  • An all-star collaborator. You're a people person and jump at the chance to work with a variety of personalities and roles from editorial, creative directors, graphic designers, product managers, and marketing managers.
  • Fluent in all things digital—websites, social media, email, paid media.
  • A confident editor with an eagle eye for catching grammatical mistakes and proofreading.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee voice and tone, editing for consistency across all marketing channels and products for the Condé Nast Brand projects.
  • Collaborate with channel and brand leads to solve various challenges and drive conversion with strong direct response offer copy.
  • Write and edit digital advertising copy for web, ROS ads, paid media, social channels, print, and video.
  • Write and edit compelling marketing emails, including subject lines, with the goal of maximizing open rate, click-through rate, and conversion.
  • Write copy for new marketing initiatives and product launches.
  • Maintain the brand tone of voice across multiple channels, ensuring consistency in messaging while striving to push the boundaries and find new and clever ways to communicate with our customer.
  • Attuned to current cultural environment and trends.
  • Ability to write high-level conceptual statements to help ground creative concepts.
  • Comfortable presenting copy in key stakeholder meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years of experience writing and editing both direct marketing and commerce copy at a consumer-facing brand or agency
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, creative writing, and English preferred
  • Experience with subscription and membership business is a plus
  • Ability to share a portfolio with current work that demonstrates your facility to write and concept insightful campaigns across a variety of mediums
  • Familiarity with Condé Nast brands such as the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ, Wired, Architectural Digest, Allure, Condé Nast Traveler, and Bon Appétit | Epicurious
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team, with the potential of managing/overseeing the work of other copywriter(s)
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple copy assignments simultaneously, and working in a collaborative and highly-matrixed environment where data is leveraged to make creative marketing decisions
