Etsy is looking for a Freelance Senior Copywriter who specializes in Above-the-line Marketing (TV). They will report into the Senior Creative Director to shape narrative direction and final messaging of quarterly campaign work.
Responsibilities:
Write and edit for Etsy's TV and video needs, creating copy that fits within the parameters of a brand’s distinct tone of voice.
Translate strategic briefs into high-quality messaging and final copy.
Write scripts and give creative copy direction for storyboards.
Ensure all messaging and narratives are on strategy and support the overall campaign concept.
Requirements
Technical Skills
7+ years demonstrated experience as a creative copywriter at agencies and/or brands, including deep experience with TV and out of home. This includes:
Expert ability to write and edit for TV and video, especially including the ability to create copy within the parameters of a brand’s distinct tone of voice.
Expert ability to translate strategic briefs into high-quality messaging and final copy.
Expertise in scriptwriting and creative copy direction of storyboards.
Expertise in ensuring all messaging and narratives are on strategy and support the overall campaign concept.
Experience writing for the UK market
Experience working with Growth Marketing Teams to meet strategic and business objectives.
Ability to keep up to date with popular culture and trends, as well as creative work produced within the advertising industry.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including comfort working in a fast-paced design environment
A forward thinker that can anticipate questions, independently assess solutions, and think critically and creatively
Strong collaboration skills, including:
Stellar communication skills
A proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional partners throughout the creative process (including Creative Directors, Strategists, Designers, Executive Producers, Project Managers and Production Vendors)
