The primary purpose of this position is to provide construction project assistance and administrative assistance to the Regional Director and the Regional Construction Managers (RCMs). Frequent independent judgments are essential.

  • Update the Trex database weekly with project status information provided by the RCMs and upload the changes to Trex.
  • Enter work authorization information for construction projects into the system, fax completed work authorizations to the correct supplier, and file the original form in the store file.
  • Prepare contracts between Rite Aid and construction vendors based on information provided by the RCMs, send multiple contracts to the vendor for signature, and distribute executed contracts to the appropriate parties, including the store file; prepare various other contracts and ensure their timely execution for project commencement.
  • Receive requests from outside sources such as developers, landlords, municipalities, and brokers for project information, determine the validity of the requests, and release pertinent information as deemed appropriate.
  • Monitor contract and change order information for accuracy and enter this information into the system.
  • Manage the project closeout process by ensuring the completion of process tasks, reviewing and correcting closeout packages, and forwarding closeout packages to the corporate office for project completion.
  • Monitor the collection and completion of ground-break Approved Capital Expenditures (ACEs).
  • Review and coordinate the completion of Phase 2 construction/remodel packages and forward them to the Regional Director.
  • Review punch list processes for timing, quality, and follow-up.
  • Follow up on budget discrepancies for capital expenditure review purposes; follow up on tasks assigned by the Regional Director to ensure the completion of all tasks.
  • Keep the Regional Director’s calendar and schedule appointments.
  • Screen telephone calls for the Regional Director on a regular basis and for the Real Estate Vice President as needed.
  • Make travel arrangements, including transportation, lodging, and expense monies for the Regional Director and the RCMs; create travel expense reports for associate reimbursement.
  • Complete general office duties, including composing letters, memos, and reports; creating spreadsheets; filing, faxing, and copying information; and sorting and distributing incoming mail.
