Growing Development firm who focus on utility-scale solar, storage & wind projects across the US with a main focus on NY-ISO, ISO-NE, MISO & PJM. They are looking to appoint a COO who will be crucial in their expansion plans as they look to double their headcount and project portfolio.
Job Description
The COO (Renewable Energy) will be responsible for:
- Overseeing company operations, project timelines, business development, and employee productivity while building a highly inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive.
- Working with the Co-founders to set and drive the organizational vision and mission, corporate strategy, and hiring needs.
- Measuring and analyzing current revenue streams and relationships to optimize business growth.
- Developing actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Co-founders.
- Strategically managing, organizing, and coordinating employees from different departments and locations to ensure efficiency.
- Work closely with the CFO to implement financial procedures and organizational policies & programs to drive the company's operating capabilities to surpass the industry average.
- Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies and collaborating with management.
- Building and maintaining relationships with other professionals and organizations in the industry.
The Successful Applicant
The COO (Renewable Energy) will have:
- Minimum of 15 years experience within the renewables industry
- Ideally has exposure to utility scale projects in ISO-NE, NY-ISO, PJM & MISO
- Strong preference for this individual to be based in either EST or CST
- Ability to motivate, organize, and respond to employees of many different areas of expertise
- Excellent business and budget-planning skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work as an independent contributor and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and planning skills
The COO (Renewable Energy) will be eligible for:
- $275,000 - $300,000 base salary
- 30% annual bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Opportunity to work 100% remote
