Controller - On site

Our client is not your typical Real-Estate/Property and retail company, come to work for the top professional commercial construction and building supply company in the Mid-Atlantic Region with headquarters in the greater Philadelphia region. This is an opportunity for a smart accounting leader with 10 years of experience to join a fast paced, high growth team. This position enjoys the opportunity to improve the accounting process, understand and interpret data for management use and provide recommendations and insight directly to owner/president to whom you will report company effectiveness and strategies.

Responsibilities:

• This role manages the timely and accurate reporting and presentation of financial statements, all payables, receivables, WIP schedules and payroll transactions.
• Responsible for accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and driving the annual budgeting process and making recommendations, delinquent receivables, financial constraints and human resource issues.
• Manage and oversee A/P and A/R process, weekly payroll process as well as HR
• Prepare job cost reports, lien releases, prepare AIA requisitions and provide support to project managers.
• The controller manages a team of 6+ people in the accounting team
• To support continued growth, you will implement new processes and contribute continuous Improvement to existing processes.

Qualifications:

• Must have a B.S. degree in accounting or Finance
• Experience as a controller or similar position in a smaller to midsized organization
• Experience in the Construction, Real Estate, Retail Industry preferred
• Willingness to be a “hands-on” controller
