About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at a global, multi-million dollar logistics company in Elk Grove, IL. The company is growing through strategic acquisitions to grow their Accounting team and are now seeking to add on a Controller to their team, eventually taking over as the VP of Finance in the future.
Job Description
Manage a team of 5+ individuals
Implement KPI's and mentor a team of accountants
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities
Performs month-end closing procedures and reporting, working collaboratively with the accounting team
Develop and implement internal controls, including process improvements and strategies for cost savings within the organization
Consolidate financial statements into a P&L statement
Provide variance analysis and financial reporting
Effectively communicate to senior management and identify areas for improvement

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience
Extensive management experience
Relevant or related industry experience
Strong business partnering and communication skills
Strong verbal and written communication
