MGR Accounting Recruiters, a Teamshares Network company, is searching for a Controller for a client in west San Antonio.
The Controller is responsible for the overall financial management of the company. This includes the preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial data, and the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. The Controller will also work closely with the management team to provide financial information and advice that will support the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Analyze financial data and trends to identify potential problems and opportunities
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Work with the management team to provide financial information and advice
Oversee the accounting function, including the hiring and training of staff
Ensure compliance with all financial regulation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
CPA certification a plus
5+ years of experience in a controller role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
