Controller

As Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the success of our On-premises and SaaS business.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial budgets, forecasts, and projections.

Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies to optimize expenses.

Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

SaaS Metrics: Understand key SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, churn rate) and analyze their impact on financial performance.

Collaboration with Sales:

Work closely with the sales team to create revenue forecasts based on pipeline data and historical trends.

Monitor actual sales performance against targets and provide insights to improve sales efficiency.

Account Receivables:

Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.

Ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue and receivables.

Marketing Metrics:

Collaborate with the marketing team to establish relevant SaaS marketing metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, conversion rates).

Analyze marketing campaigns’ impact on customer acquisition and retention.

Weekly Meetings:

Meet with sales, marketing, and finance teams on a weekly basis to review performance, discuss challenges, and align strategies.

Team Leadership: Manage a small finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Sales, Product, Operations) to align financial goals with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller, preferably in a SaaS or high-tech startup environment.

Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition principles.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup culture.
