As a key member of our team, you will take a leadership role in overseeing our accounting and financial operations - developing and implementing robust internal controls and procedures. With a minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years as a controller in a high-growth services organization, you will bring a wealth of expertise to our team. Your ability to build a foundation and infrastructure will be instrumental as we transition from outsourced accounting to an in-house model, contributing significantly to our continued growth. How you’ll spend your days:

  • Leading all aspects of accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, and reporting
  • Developing and maintaining sound internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of periodic reports, including balance sheet, income and cash flow statements, and statutory reporting
  • Compiling reports for new business opportunities, investment decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Overseeing internal controls, including a comprehensive expense policy and accountability
  • Collaborating with senior management to develop financial plans that align with the company’s growth objectives
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing accounting team


What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting - your CPA or CMA is a bonus
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a controller in a high-growth organization wealth management sector will get our attention!
  • Direct experience nurturing, mentoring and growing a team of true professionals
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and implementation of mainstream ERP
  • Strategic thinking – you see the big picture yet focus on tactical execution
  • Strong organizational, time management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset – driven, confident and solution oriented
