Controller, 165K-175K

Addison Group is partnered with a publicly traded company based in North DFW. This person will be responsible for oversight of the corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This role is ideal for a current Director or Assistant Controller who is looking to take the next step in their career.

This opportunity is located in Plano. This position can pay between 165K-175K + bonus.

Responsibilities:

• This role reports to the CAO and will be next in line to move up to an SVP
• Lead and support the accounting team; help with development through ongoing performance management, career development, training, and mentoring
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statement packages including creating and posting journal entries recorded to the general ledger, review of general ledger
• Ensure the completion of timely and accurate month-end closing process
• Play a leading role in projects focused on process enhancement, and the implementation of accounting software.
• Address and resolve concerns with various departments such as Admin, IT, and Marketing, providing solutions to financial and accounting queries.
• Offer timely and updated technical accounting advice to the accounting, finance, and general business departments, addressing queries and resolving issues as they arise.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies conformity with GAAP
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring that invoices are submitted and processed in a timely manner and that payments are received in accordance with the lease terms

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 1+ years of accounting management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• CPA Required, highly preferred
• Public Accounting experience highly preferred
