We have a stable company near the Central Florida region that is in need of an experienced Operations manager to ensure the timely packaging of high-quality products that consistently exceed customer expectations. The Plant manager plays a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight and dynamic leadership to optimize plant operations, drive performance towards operational targets, and cultivate a culture of effective communication as well as continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage the daily packaging & distribution operations of contract packaging products in the plant, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient processes.
Cultivate a positive work environment grounded in open communication and adherence to organizational values.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and cGMP quality standards throughout all production activities.
Oversees and manages the overall budgets, spending, and headcount throughout facility.
Establishes performance management goals for staff under his/her responsibility for measuring performance in line with company goals.
Partners and actively collaborates with Senior Management on performance and disciplinary documentation/actions on policy/procedure infractions.
Develop, implement, and manage programs aimed at enhancing contract packaging operations and driving continuous improvement.
Establish and achieve production metrics to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Maintain appropriate staffing and inventory levels to meet production demands and undertake any other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the plant.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required to have at least 8-10 years of secondary and primary contract packaging experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Prior experience leading operations of medical device or consumer health product packaging or assembly is preferred.
Must have extensive hands-on knowledge of packaging equipment and processes.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degrees in associated fields or certification in is a plus.
Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the company and excellent interpersonal skills needed, including coaching, team building and training.
Any prior warehouse & shipping coordination, business management, and process improvement experience is a plus.
Authorized to work in the United States and valid driver's license.
Excellent time management, strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, listening, decision-making, and organization skills required.
Proficiency speaking Bi-lingual or English/Spanish is peferred
