Continuous Improvement Specialist

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt


Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a Plant Operations, Engineering, and/or Continuous Improvement role or related capacity with a portfolio of demonstrated examples of the job requirement


Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to heat, noise, and fumes, with no element continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a change agent in the organization by motivating change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while applying and improving existing methodologies.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and problem-solving tools to drive a structured approach to continuous improvement.
  • Identify, charter, and lead CI projects targeted at improving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost - delivering the project results on time.
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools and methodologies (RCA, DMAIC, Process Tree Diagrams, Impact/Difficulty Matrix, etc.) to drive sustainable operational improvements.
  • Collect and analyze data on facility/departmental processes, procedure, and performance using evaluation tools and make recommendations for improvement to the Leadership Team.
  • Provide project updates to the factory leadership team and project stakeholders highlighting the current status, adherence to the project time plan, work accomplished, quick wins, points of escalation, elements of risk and the associated mitigation plans.
