  • Estimated annual base pay: $119,500.00 (min.) - $149,000.00 (mid.) - 179,000.00 (max) USD Annual

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Continuous Improvement Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position provides leadership with a Lean/Six Sigma focus using the deployment of proven CI methods and tools resulting in measurable and sustained improvement of QDRC within a few related value streams.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Acts as a liaison across the business segment with other functional areas (e.g. Production Engineering, Development Engineering, and Manufacturing)
  • Accountable for the technical aspects of problem solving, systems implementation and validation for projects and services (e.g. Technical Quality or Continuous Improvement)
  • Plan and manage resources to profit plan and capital plan.
  • Utilizes the department to conceive and implement lean continuous improvement projects to enable the operability of the WLES process.
  • Supports other cross functional departments with expertise and manpower to the extent possible when process improvement is required.
  • Leads standard content management (content updates, content communication and content retention) for local production training programs.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to the management team for what is an appropriate level and type of training for production members.

What We Are Looking For

  • U.S. – bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Management/Technical Field required.
  • U.S. master’s degree in arts/sciences -management/technical field or international equivalent preferred.
  • Greenbelt Certification and Blackbelt Certification required within 1 year required/
  • 5+ years of Professional experience in a manufacturing environment or a branch of the military. Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/Six Sigma concepts required. Prior leadership experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to act as a change agent and influence, both internal and external functional areas.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a vision and strategy for process improvement through lean/six sigma initiatives and gain active alignment support for that strategy by all organizational stakeholders.
  • Understanding, supporting, and leading the implementation of LEAN Manufacturing techniques (waste elimination, parts flow and pull) and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • SAP experience.
  • Formal problem-solving skills such as Taguchi, DOE, 8D, etc.
  • Significant understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
