Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across Schweid & Sons' food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for process enhancements, driving efficiency improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and project management, focusing on the food manufacturing industry.

Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across Schweid & Sons' food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for process enhancements, driving efficiency improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and project management, focusing on the food manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify key areas for improvement in production processes, quality control, and operational efficiency.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Implement best practices and standardized processes to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
- Project Management:
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely delivery of results.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data to measure process performance and identify trends.
- Create and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to track continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate findings and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and feedback.
- Mentor and coach team members to build internal capabilities for ongoing improvement efforts.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all continuous improvement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Promote a safe working environment by incorporating safety considerations into process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process optimization within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects and driving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective project management and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
