Content Manager // Editor

Background: Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is taking strides to change the face of entrepreneurship. As it stands right now, obtaining entrepreneurial knowledge can be expensive and seems only available to limited amounts of people. However, millions of entrepreneurs worldwide know that they can make innovations that will change and shape society forever. Pitch Labs is helping entrepreneurs unlock the resources they need by creating a free online library, hosting virtual events, and opening clubs in schools to allow entrepreneurs to unlock their skills and do what they are meant to do: create!

How this Role ties into Our Mission: As a Content Manager/Editor your role is pivotal in embodying our mission to empower and connect entrepreneurs through strategic and accessible resources.

• Responsible for editing video and audio clips of interview meetings for our Spotify podcast and YouTube, responsible for posting content, responsible for adding additional audio clips(ex. Intro music, etc.).
• Your responsibility for editing the final form of the podcast and Youtube video is crucial in delivering polished and professional content that effectively communicates key messages.

Qualifications:

- MUST be a CURRENT undergraduate University student within the United States 

- Respond to messaging/emails within 24 hours (Monday-Friday)

- Write & speak professional/native level English language

- Proven skills in editing audio and video clips on software such as Spotify for Podcasters or similar tools, with the ability to edit footage to enhance overall visual appeal.

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and grammar, to ensure the accuracy and professionalism of the podcast.

- Previous experience in public speaking, with a strong on-screen presence and ability to engage audiences.

-Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple video and audio projects simultaneously.

- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for podcast that align with our mission and resonate with our target audience of entrepreneurs.

What We Need: We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach. As a Content Manager/Editor, you will:

• Take on the responsibility of editing our podcast clips, serving as the face and voice of our content to engage and connect with our audience of entrepreneurs.
• Assume control over the editing process, meticulously refining the final form of the video to ensure it meets our quality standards and effectively communicates key messages.
• Conduct thorough checks for grammatical errors, ensuring that the content maintains professionalism and clarity.
• Trim video and audio footage as necessary to enhance pacing and maintain audience engagement throughout the video.
• Implement internal video and audio edits as required.

Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities: As part of the Playable Media Department, you are responsible for editing and posting audio and video interview clips for our Spotify podcast and YouTube channel.  

Time Commitment: THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Therefore we are extremely flexible with time and just ask that you contribute what you can. If you have exams, work, or family events come up, you are more than able to take a break. During times when you are an active volunteer, we ask that you simply contribute at least 3-5 hours a week (ideally for at least 6 months). This is a great position for students in school or university who want to go into a career field but want to learn more about it; you will be able to dive deeper than you have ever done before.
